And then I went back and looked at my first outline.
Understand that it's the first outline I've ever done where I started from scratch. And boy, howdy, is it sketchy. For something I could get a novel out of, these one- or two-sentence plot points don't really cut it. Good thing I'm comfortable flying by the seat of my pants.
I need to work on my serial killer dude some, though. His motivations are murkier to me than they ought to be. I just remembered that my Writing Buddy wrote a Serial Killer Infomercial that I should re-read. That totally counts as research, right?
