And he gave me a few suggestions for Unquiet Neighbors. Of course, all of them make the story longer, and it's already over 11,000 words. That being said, the fact that it's over 10K means that 11K isn't really that much harder of a sell, so. *shrug* It's just little lines here and there, a tiny try/fail cycle in that other place, a line about how even Mr. Rogers wouldn't want this
guy as a neighbor, and then a larger part where he's sleep-deprived because the Thing won't shut up
--but it's part of a nefarious plan
on the draugr's part.
So, not an extensive rewrite, just a few bits here and there. And I finally came up with a title! But I should be able to send it out in the next few days.
I also need to put some editing time on Eldritch Plumbing. After reading it aloud, I've come to the conclusion that it's not actually broken and just needs some tweaks in a couple of places. And a title, which I believe I have come up with. Maybe.
And then I'll finish the outline on Ghost Ship. And I found out about this anthology
the other day, and I'd rather write something for that instead of the Inner Workings one for On the Premises. I could maybe do all three, but. Priorities. Seven weeks for two stories is doable. Three stories, complete and submittable. . . isn't, I don't think. I mean, I'll try
, but I also have five outlines to do in May as well for my next round of NaNo stories in June.
So. Augh. Maybe I'll start getting up at 6am again. At this point I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. . .
