We tried JC Penney next, which I've had good luck at in the past. And sure enough, there's a pretty purple thing that goes with both the shoes and the jewelry...and it was on the 70% off rack. We left it there and decided to try Dillard's and Sears, just for grins and giggles, but no joy was to be had there.
So, back to JC Penney's we trooped, and I purchased the dress.
For under $23.
I also scored, on that shopping trip, the new Angel: Spotlight Connor comic (which is teh r0xx0rs), The Science of Discworld II: The Globe, a few Susan Conant books I've been after forever, and a few books for Da Boy.
It's been a lovely visit so far. The rehearsal dinner is tonight at Papadeaux's, and the wedding is tomorrow night. We're going to see the Hubby's brother this afternoon, after dropping Da Boy off with his Aunt Deb, who is going to take him shoe shopping.
Also, there's a Starbuck's right next door to the hotel. Caramel Macchiato, BABY.
Writing? What is this "writing" of which you speak? That being said, usually a change of scene breaks something loose, creativity-wise, and the Hubby is in charge of Da Boy on the trip home, so I'll probably have a look at the Smuggling Space or a few of the WIPs and see if anything strikes me. Of course...the last time that happened, the whole Serenity crew died, except for Jayne...
